Lucky Horseshoe at the Field.

Back again this afternoon for another going over. We were sure this would be the last rites......... but as is the case with this field we were suprised again. The first find was the horseshoe.......I'm not supersticious, but as omens would have it we had plenty of luck in finding more silver today. Also dug another penkinfe, must have been a favorite thing with the boys at this school. 36 coins today, including 5 silvers, only 2 pennys and 1 copper nickel shilling for a total of 8 pre decimals. We still have about 1/2 of the field to go over again to clean up the bits and bobs that register over the iron range. Obviously we are picking up plenty of copper nickel old decimals now, and less pennys, but the elusive silvers keep comming.
Here are some pics, the first is "The Field" from the entrance, the next is the old school directely across the road. The last few are the days finds. Enjoy...........We did!
