I think this will be our last hunt at this field, we managed to eke out 37 coins with 3 silvers. I'm about 99% sure there is not much more to be had here except under a few patches of long grass. Interestingly, for Anzac day, we dug an Australian 1916 penny, a British 1878 penny and 7 Kiwi pennys. Not to mention the squashed NZ forces button..........All very Anzac. The badge is another jnr Red Cross, that makes 2 from this field now. Must mention the US dime (1965) also, the first US coin form this field. Plenty of old decimal including an Aussie 10c.We probably will return sometime in the future.............just to make sure. I do, however have my eye on 2 or 3 more old schools in the reigon that have been closed for a few years and date from the late 1800s...........Stay tuned as they say.
Good one Guy.
