BIG! Silver and an interesting mix of coins today.

I am having to head further afield for a decent haul these days, I think I have just about hunted out all my closer local spots. The bits below are from 3 hunts, the first mid week at a picnic area just out of town. I thought it had promise, however the only decent thing that came out was this piece of silver jewellery. It has what looks like a gold bit in the centre, hallmarked 925 on the back.
This morning at first light I was off out to a local school where I got the florin last week, no more silver there today but dug a Kiwi penny, English 1/2 penny and a Fiji penny. Two old decimals and a $1 made up the 6 coin haul. At lunchtime we headed out of town to an old school closed since 2003, we have been there before but it was a wild and windy day and I don't think I was particularly careful........we wrote it off as a bad loss back then, however I decided it was well worth another look. Last time we did dig a penny and 1/2 penny.........so I was thinking there must be more and even possibly silver. Well the theory worked this time, we ended up with 23 coins from this site, the 1/2 crown, shilling, 1951 florin, a couple of Kiwi pennys, an Aussie penny and 1/2 penny, plenty of old decimal and even a couple of goldies. Yep, happy chappie I am!
